Where Every Measurement Matters
If you want to feel confident and sophisticated, you can reach for a pair of heels, but choosing a pair based solely on looks can cause a lot of pain. Inappropriate heels not only ruin your chances of wearing them, but they can also leave you feeling sore and blistered for days afterward. Experts say there are actually many heels on the market that check boxes in terms of both style and functionality. Whether you're looking for a specific height, material, or shape, the list below offers options that fit your needs, as well as general advice on what to look for when shopping for comfortable heels.

Where Every Measurement Matters
From Our Board
As we begin the first part of 2026, we are proud to reflect on a remarkable year for SCI. 2025 was a year of growth, progress, and meaningful accomplishment — made possible by the hard work, dedication, and commitment of every employee across the company.
As we carry that momentum into 2026, we remain focused on building our successes, supporting one another, and continuing to live out our core values of Teamwork, Humanity, Integrity, and Stewardship.
We are also excited to host SCI’s first off site all-hands meeting tomorrow, June 24. This will be an important opportunity to come together as one team, celebrate our progress, align around our goals, and look ahead to the future of SCI.
Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do. You are the reason every measurement truly matters.

SCI is Growing —
A Bold New Chapter
We’re thrilled to announce that, as of August 1st, SCI has acquired the assets and intellectual property of Condec from Rice Lake Weighing Systems! This is more than an acquisition—it’s the next step in SCI’s journey of growth and innovation. Condec has been a trusted partner for years, with products already powering SCI’s test kits for aircraft carriers used by HII and the U.S. Department of Defense. Now, with our decades of expertise in pressure measurement and calibration, SCI is stepping forward to lead the future of Condec’s product line—manufacturing, repairing, and calibrating these instruments with the excellence our customers expect.
Powered by People
At the heart of this success is our people. We’re excited to welcome Barb Hodshon, former Condec General Manager, who will help ensure a smooth transition. Gerry Legaspi will be driving production as the department’s first full-time employee, supported by the unmatched experience of Jason Eppley, a 24-year SCI veteran. Together, they’ll lay the foundation for this exciting new venture.
Building Momentum
You’ll see big changes underway—Michael Jones is leading the transformation of our warehouse into a hub for assembly and testing. Our logistics team will soon complete a full inventory, setting us up to launch repair and calibration services—followed quickly by full-scale manufacturing.
A Collective Win
This milestone was only possible because of the incredible teamwork across SCI. From Accounting to IT, Marketing to Production, QA to Sales, every department played a part. A special thank you goes to Austin Vaughan, who led this project with professionalism and vision, earning recognition both inside and outside SCI. This acquisition marks a powerful step forward for SCI, strengthening our position as a leader in test equipment for both defense and industry. Together, we are building the future—stronger, smarter, and prouder than ever.

Annual Employee Survey Results
Overall, our annual survey revealed positive progress in many areas. We had greater than 5% improvement in the agree/strongly agree responses for areas such as feeling properly trained (from 69% to 77%), feeling valued by one’s manager and other SCI leaders (68% to 76%), employees wanting to grow and advance at SCI (55% to 65%), and understanding how to grow (48% to 55%). Of note, was the significant change in our Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS), which asked, “How likely is it you would recommend this company to a friend or colleague?” We were at a -7 last year and went up 13 basis points to a +6. While we continue to work towards a score that is +10 or greater, this is a nice jump up from last year! Pulling out our communication-specific questions – asking about feeling informed of the company’s mission and focus and if one’s supervisor communicates well and is supportive of feedback – we had mixed results. Our company communication score declined from 76% to 70%, and the manager communication score saw a positive change from 73% to 80% who agree/strongly agree with this question. A popular question series we ask each year is 1) What do you enjoy the most about working at SCI, and 2) Conversely, what do you like the least about working at SCI? The top responses to each question were as follows:

Kevin Speaks
Kevin has been assisting me in a large Purchasing project related to Condec. Over the last month, he has helped to scrub a large list of components which make up the Pressure Instrumentation line SCI will be manufacturing. Kevin also quoted *hundreds* of components to help us reach high priority deadlines, while also helping to maintain the daily Purchasing grind. Yet another SCI employee going above and beyond, as we do daily. Kevin has integrated well into the SCI community since his onboarding in 2024, and is a favorite to many who interact with Purchasing. I appreciate his attention to detail and additional efforts during this period of increased workload while we push towards the finish line in this Condec endeavor.
