Inside T.H.I.S.
Where Every Measurement Matters
If you want to feel confident and sophisticated, you can reach for a pair of heels, but choosing a pair based solely on looks can cause a lot of pain. Inappropriate heels not only ruin your chances of wearing them, but they can also leave you feeling sore and blistered for days afterward. Experts say there are actually many heels on the market that check boxes in terms of both style and functionality. Whether you're looking for a specific height, material, or shape, the list below offers options that fit your needs, as well as general advice on what to look for when shopping for comfortable heels.

Sales
Closing Deals and Opening Doors
From $4.5M in Q2 DLA sales (including a $750K single order) to new vendor relationships and major Textron Systems wins, Sales has been busy. Our Outside Sales team hit the road for the Intelligent Ships Symposium in Philly, while Inside Sales kept the Cal Lab loaded with over 1,200+ assets a month.
We’ve welcomed Tanesha Everett, Michelle Bentley, and others to the team, and launched new in-house capabilities for customer drawings that help us win more bids. Special shout-out to Vernessa Holcomb, who secured a major Textron Systems order for 172 Ametek Pressure Transducers—winning not just one ship set, but all of them! Big thanks to everyone—from our “Great Wizard” Joey Mann to our dual-role pro Joe Hamme—for keeping the momentum going.

Cal Lab
Scaling Up
The Cal Lab is running like a well-oiled machine. Flow service is at max speed, RF is making its comeback, and Torque is back in the hands of DSK where it belongs. Samantha Davis has officially moved to Field Services (we miss you!), and our Onsite Calibration program continues to shine thanks to the skill and dedication of our techs. Looking ahead, our ISO/IEC 17025 re-accreditation audit will be taking place August 25–29—a big milestone for the lab and SCI.
Clean Room
Deadline Dominators
We didn’t just hit our deadlines in July—we nailed them all, hitting 100% on-time jobs, up from just 25% six months ago. Project numbers are climbing too, from 22 in May to 27 in July, and we’re eyeing 30+ in August. Sure, we missed one production goal, but hey—we’re running a marathon, not a sprint. And with our newfound “deadline superhero” status, we’re confident we can handle whatever curveballs come next.
Bonus laugh: Why did the engineer bring a ladder to the calibration meeting? Because the standards were high.

Field Services
Projects, People, and Potential
From new customers like Corescale DC and John Deere to multiple high-profile events for Meta, the Field Services team has been everywhere. Four of our techs passed their Tech II boards, and we’ve got potential expansion in Meta projects—including new sites in Texas. Plus, we’ve submitted our first Statement of Work to Applied Digital. The road ahead looks promising.
Marine
From the Atlantic to Spain
The Marine team is knocking out big projects left and right: long-term availability on the USS Kearsarge, control panel modernizations, actuator repairs, fire detection installs, and multiple TDR upgrades. Looking ahead, we’ve got work on the USS New York, Gonzales, Oak Hill—and an upcoming trip to Spain for a TLI job. Best of all? Zero injuries along the way.

Innovation & Marketing
Turning Leads into Wins
Through August 24th, marketing-sourced leads have brought in $220K in revenue and $1.5M in quotes. Our ecommerce sales are gaining traction (47 orders so far!), and we have finally proven that we can digitally sell service with products. We also are growing our list of OEM partners which means more solutions for our customers. Watch for SCI in an upcoming Setra Systems whitepaper on Data Center Cooling.
IT
Security, Systems, and Seamless Integration
IT has been in deep on CMMC compliance and system clean-up—locating CUI, reviving the IT asset tracking system, and improving device management. The team is also planning a major Microsoft 365 integration to make our digital workflows smoother than ever.

Accounting & Finance
Saving the Planet, One Document at a Time
What’s the secret to saving the world? Turns out, it might just be going paperless. Our A&F team has ditched the filing cabinets and gone fully digital, saving space, time, and—most importantly—trees. Last year alone we saved over 10 trees! That’s cleaner air for all of us and fewer pollutants in the atmosphere. Big change, small steps, huge impact.
Quality & Safety
Zero Incidents, 100% Commitment
We’ve had zero workplace incidents this quarter—thanks to every single one of you for keeping safety front and center. Training has been a big focus too, with CPR/AED/First Aid, OSHA Maritime 10, and Forklift Safety all completed. Up next: Hazmat Program and a dedicated Safety Committee.
On the quality side, we scored zero findings in the recent HII NNS surveillance, hit 100% on-time DCMA deliveries, and completed updates to 60+ documents for our ISO/IEC 17025 audit prep. Shout-out to Alexus Farmer, our new final inspector, and Melissa Sims for helping us hit that 100% OTD!

SCI is Growing —
A Bold New Chapter
We’re thrilled to announce that, as of August 1st, SCI has acquired the assets and intellectual property of Condec from Rice Lake Weighing Systems! This is more than an acquisition—it’s the next step in SCI’s journey of growth and innovation. Condec has been a trusted partner for years, with products already powering SCI’s test kits for aircraft carriers used by HII and the U.S. Department of Defense. Now, with our decades of expertise in pressure measurement and calibration, SCI is stepping forward to lead the future of Condec’s product line—manufacturing, repairing, and calibrating these instruments with the excellence our customers expect.
Powered by People
At the heart of this success is our people. We’re excited to welcome Barb Hodshon, former Condec General Manager, who will help ensure a smooth transition. Gerry Legaspi will be driving production as the department’s first full-time employee, supported by the unmatched experience of Jason Eppley, a 24-year SCI veteran. Together, they’ll lay the foundation for this exciting new venture.
Building Momentum
You’ll see big changes underway—Michael Jones is leading the transformation of our warehouse into a hub for assembly and testing. Our logistics team will soon complete a full inventory, setting us up to launch repair and calibration services—followed quickly by full-scale manufacturing.
A Collective Win
This milestone was only possible because of the incredible teamwork across SCI. From Accounting to IT, Marketing to Production, QA to Sales, every department played a part. A special thank you goes to Austin Vaughan, who led this project with professionalism and vision, earning recognition both inside and outside SCI. This acquisition marks a powerful step forward for SCI, strengthening our position as a leader in test equipment for both defense and industry. Together, we are building the future—stronger, smarter, and prouder than ever.
