The Importance of Liquid Flow Calibration

Liquid flow calibration ensures that flow meters used to measure the flow rate of liquids such as water, fuel, and chemicals provide accurate readings. This calibration process is crucial for maintaining process control, quality assurance, and safety in various industries. Common devices calibrated include turbine flow meters, ultrasonic flow meters, and Coriolis meters. The calibration involves verifying these meters against known flow standards to ensure accurate performance. SCI is accredited for turbines, positive displacement, magmeters, rotameters, vortex meters, and ultrasonic meters. We also can validate coriolis meters.

Our facility is equipped with advanced flow calibration rigs and standards to perform thorough testing and adjustments. We conduct multiple flow tests under varying conditions to ensure the accuracy and reliability of each flow meter.

Our 1,000-square-foot accredited liquid flow calibration room features advanced SCI/ITAC automated controls and specialized flow stations for both fuel and water. Utilizing coriolis flow standards, we achieve exceptional accuracy, measuring fuel flow rates up to 220 GPM and water flow up to 10,000 GPM. This room is designed to handle a broad range of flow calibration needs, ensuring accuracy in every measurement for critical applications.
